CONTEXT:EntrustableProfessionalActivities(EPAs)areobservabletasksthatareregularpartsofaphysician’sdailyclinicalwork.Beforebeingpermittedtoaccomplishthesetasksindependently,traineesmustgaintheirsuper-visors’trust.DefiningthelistofEPAsthatshouldbemas-teredbytheendofaresidencyiscriticaltosettingclearexpectations about autonomous practice.OBJECTIVE:TocollectallthelistsofEPAsdefinedforres-idenciesingeneralinternalmedicineandsynthesisethemintoareferenceworkusefulfordevelopingnewlistsofEPAs or improving existing ones.METHOD:Thissystematicreviewsearchedfivedatabas-esandrelevantgreyliteratureusingkeywordsrelatedtoEPAsandpostgraduateeducation,from2005,whenthefirstarticleonEPAswaspublished,toApril2022.Inclu-sioncriteriaweretheavailabilityofanEPAslistandafo-cusongeneralinternalmedicine.Tworeviewersindepen-dentlyselectedthestudies,extracteddataandperformedaqualityassessmentusingQATSDDandAACODStools.Mean values and inter-rater reliability were calculated.RESULTS:Thereviewyielded3292records,with16ar-ticlesmeetingtheinclusioncriteria,mostlyfromNorthAmerica.Synthesisingtheir16listsgenerated395EPAs.ThereviewerstheninductivelycategoriedthoseEPAs,308ofwhichfellinto6domains,14themesand24sub-themes.Thedomainswere:(1)careandmanagementofthegeneraladultpopulation(n=103EPAs);(2)careandmanagementofpatientswithspecificneeds(n=67);(3)carecoordinationandcommunication(n=52);(4)man-agementandleadership(N=21);(5)healthcarequality,education,andresearch(n=41);and(6)miscellaneous(n=24).Theremaining87EPAsweredisease-specificand did not fit into this categorisation.
